This policy explains what Knoxville Tree Quotes (“we,” “us”) collects through knoxvilletreequotes.com, how we use it, and who we share it with. We are a free referral service that connects homeowners with independent tree service companies. We do not perform tree work.
What we collect
- What you type into the quote form: name, phone number, email (optional), street address (optional), ZIP code, the service you need, the number and size of trees, urgency, and any notes.
- Consent record: whether you checked the consent box, the exact consent wording shown to you, its version, and the date and time you submitted.
- Technical information sent with the form: your IP address, browser user agent, and the page you submitted from. We keep these to prevent spam and fraud and to document your consent.
- Basic site analytics: if we use analytics, it is aggregate information about page visits. We do not sell or share analytics with tree companies.
How we use it
- To pass your request to independent tree service companies so they can contact you and quote your job.
- To follow up about your request, for example to confirm details or ask whether a company reached you.
- To keep records of consent, prevent spam and abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Who we share it with
When you submit a request and check the consent box, we share your request details and contact information with up to 3 independent local tree service companies that serve your area. Those companies may pay us for the referral. Once they receive your information, they use it under their own privacy practices. We also use service providers (for example website hosting and email) that process data for us. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell your information to data brokers or for unrelated marketing.
Calls and texts
If you consent, we and the participating tree companies may call or text the number you provided about your request, including with automated technology or prerecorded messages. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You can reply STOP to any text to opt out of texts from that sender, or tell any caller you no longer want calls. You can also email us (below) to stop further referrals.
How long we keep it
We keep lead and consent records for up to 5 years so we can show when and how consent was given, then delete or anonymize them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, unless we must keep it for legal reasons.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing privacy@knoxvilletreequotes.com. We can’t delete information that a tree company has already received, but we can tell you which companies received your request so you can contact them.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access-restricted storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows when it last changed.
